Why a flat price instead of per person

Two guests is a different night to plan than twelve. The sourcing is smaller, the service is quieter, and the pacing is closer to a tasting counter than a dinner party. So instead of running the usual per-guest math and an event minimum against a two-top, there's one number: $500 total, and it covers the whole night.

This is not a stripped-down version of the menu. It's the same sourcing, the same cooking, the same plates and the same service you'd get at a table of twenty.

    What the night looks like

    • 90 minutes before. I arrive, set your table with my plates and silverware, and start prep. You do nothing.
    • Service. Courses come out one at a time, paced for two people who actually want to talk to each other. Two to two and a half hours, unhurried.
    • After. Dishes done, counters wiped, everything packed out. About 45 minutes, and the kitchen is cleaner than I found it.

    Choose any core menu

The price doesn't change with the menu. The Southern Table is four courses of modern Southern cooking, smoke and fire. FABLE · Wild South is the five-course flagship tasting — the most formal of them. The Butcher's Table is prime beef carved at your table with classic sides. Dietary needs are adapted on any of them; tell me when you book.

    The occasions this is for

Anniversaries, a proposal, a birthday that shouldn't involve a restaurant waitlist, a first night back from a long trip, or a Tuesday that you'd rather not spend cooking. It's the same reason people book a private chef in Nashville for twenty — scaled to the two of you.

    Straight answers

    Dinner for Two, answered straight.

    What is Dinner for Two?
A private chef dinner for exactly two guests in your own home, cooked and served on site, for a flat $500 total. You choose any of the preset menu experiences — Wild South, The Southern Table, The Butcher's Table, The Tavern Table or After Hours — and the price does not change.
    What does the $500 include?
Everything: menu design, sourcing and all the food, cooking in your kitchen, plates and silverware, course-by-course service, and full kitchen cleanup. There is no per-guest pricing, no event minimum, no travel fee and no gratuity added on top. Alcohol is yours to pour.
Can we add a third guest?
No — Dinner for Two is exactly two guests. For three or more, the standard preset experiences apply at their per-guest prices, from $95 to $175 per guest with the usual event minimums.
Where is Dinner for Two available?
Nashville and the surrounding Middle Tennessee metro only. It is not available for destination bookings in the Smoky Mountains, North Georgia, Kentucky or Birmingham.
Which menus can we choose from?
Any preset experience: FABLE · Wild South (five-course flagship), The Southern Table (four courses, modern Southern), The Butcher's Table (steakhouse), The Tavern Table (American classics) or After Hours (served in waves). The $500 total is the same whichever you pick.
Is this a discount version of the normal dinner?
No. It's the same cooking, the same sourcing and the same service, priced as a single flat rate because two guests is a fundamentally different night to plan than twelve. Nothing is cut from the menu.
    How do we book it?
Online, on the live calendar. Choose the date, pick your menu, and pay. The date locks when the payment clears — deposits follow the standard schedule, and any remaining balance is charged automatically to the same card seven days before the dinner.
How long does the evening take?
Around two to two and a half hours of service. I arrive about 90 minutes early to set up and prep, and stay roughly 45 minutes after the last course to clean the kitchen down.
